STYLE MISTAKES TO AVOID AFTER 50

“Oops… I am too old for that!”

Did this happen to you? As soon as you hit the big 5-0, every sleek, sexy piece of attire suddenly seemed like too much? You mentally decided that you would inhabit the world of drab wardrobes.

But we don’t agree with that. And neither should you!

We believe that age has nothing to do with your style. The only thing that will determine if you look good is how you style the pieces you choose to wear. You can have a great style and look fabulous in your 50s, 60s, 70s, and so on. The key is to know your body type and to know what works for you. ☝️

Our style is a big part of our emotional well-being. The way we look impacts the way we feel. That is why we're sharing our top style mistakes to avoid after 50.

WHAT SHOULD YOU NOT WEAR IN YOUR 50s?

1. Properly fitted bra

It may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of style, but it’s vital. It’s very important to have your bra properly fitted. Don’t hesitate to invest your time and money in this one because it’s not only about the way you look. A correctly fitted bra can correct posture and end back pain. It will make you feel more confident, shapelier, and sexier.

2. Glasses as an accessory

Glasses are a big part of your style, and they can drastically change your appearance. So, don’t wear boring frames! Choose bright colors that will complement your eyes. 👀

3. Color coordination

You shouldn’t be dressing in bland colors. Stick with a monochromatic look but avoid taupe and beige. Bring color into your looks with the help of accessories: shoes, glasses, handbags, and jewelry. 💍 Remember, if you want to dress in popping colors, then it should be only one piece of clothing. Don’t wear multiple colors all at once.

4. Choose a (graceful) hairstyle

Clothing isn’t the only component of your style. Your hair and makeup are a big part of it. Just because the haircut you’ve always loved worked for you 10 years ago might not be suitable in your 50s. Ask your hairstylist for advice and get to work! ✂️

5. Take care of your eyebrows

Just like your hair, eyebrows thin with age. This can make you look older than you are. So, don’t forget about your eyebrow specialist or fill in the patchy spots yourself. A lot of women also choose to tattoo their brows. That way you can have one less thing to worry about when getting ready.

6. Don’t wear too much makeup

A bright vibrant mouth, thick lifted luscious lash beauties and a healthy skin is all you need to stand out.✨

Remember you are more than just the sum of your “looks”. More than what not to wear, it's the confidence that matters. Invest in make-up that understands 50+, mature woman problems and has the technology and research to heal them from the ground up!
